Thanks for the reply Glenn Kasten. I tried to run my wpa_cli via adb as wifi. However, the error remains the same.
Since this was not the problem, my guess would be that the error is in the compilation of the wpa_cli, or in some permissions issue in the wpa_supplicant. Someone who has already cross-compiled the wpa_cli or the wpa_supplicant has any idea what I might be doing wrong? Any guess would be great.
