*Job Title: AWS Cloud Data Engineer* *Rate: $65/Hr.* *Location: Omaha, NE, Atlanta, GA , Fourth worth, TX (Remote is also fine)* *AWS Certified Database – Specialty* *Job Description* To design, develop, and enhance our AWS data environment to ensure our solution is implemented using scalable cloud-based best practices. *Responsibilities* The cloud data engineer responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: • Design, develop, and implement scalable Cloud-based data solutions. • Support our services that focus on data technologies, including Amazon Aurora, Amazon MQ, DynamoDB, Cassandra, Data Pipeline, Glue and more. • Provide expertise and perspective on cloud development and infrastructure initiatives, including automations and data migration from on premise systems. • Collaborate with the data engineers, operations and architects along with system and networking engineers on projects, architectural design, implementation strategy as well as scripting. • Demonstrate proficiency in the design, installation, deployment, and support of complex data environments. • Strong focus on promoting automation and DevOps best practices along with infrastructure, application, and security monitoring. • Understand and communicate the cost implication of choosing one arch versus another. Experience • 4+ years of professional experience in a dynamic environment with a primary focus within Cloud services. • Advanced administration experience with (1) of the following Database engines: MySQL / Amazon Aurora / Cassandra • Database and SQL query performance tuning experience. • Coding and development experience using SQL or T-SQL languages • Experienced setting up monitoring and alerting for production data environments • Experience with data backup and recovery strategies at database and table levels • Ability to create operational and technical documentation • Expertise in AWS with a focus on data security. • Automation with shell scripting, python, and AWS APIs. • Automating system configuration and management tasks *Education* Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field OR equivalent experience in a technical position *Knowledge, Skills, Abilities* • Candidates must possess good analytical skills, as well as written and oral communication skills. • Ability to work well in a dynamic team environment and independently. • Ability to work independently and in an Agile team environment • Data migration and ETL experience • Exposure to security concepts / best practices • Experience Troubleshooting the full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications • Experience with both high-availability and disaster recovery data service configurations in a cloud environment preferred. • Understanding of microservice architecture fundamentals and best practices as applicable to data management *Matt Ally* *Infospan Inc.*Email: *[email protected] <[email protected]>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
