Job Title : *Cloud (AWS) Engineer* Location: *Houston TX or Chicago IL (Hybrid role )* *12 Months contract with possible extensions* *Required skills* · AWS practitioner or architect certification · Prior Disaster recovery experience · Testing · Validate application development · Dynamo DB exposure · MS Excel · ServiceNow · SOAP UI exposure would be nice RESPONSIBILITIES Disaster Recovery (DR) Documentation and Readiness - *Support application and technology teams in transforming traditional DR solutions to secure, agile, scalable, always-on, cloud-first environments*. - Assist Application and infrastructure owners in developing Application Recovery Plans (ARPs) and Infrastructure Recovery Plans (IRPs) for both cloud and on-premise environments - Ensure completion and upkeep of Application Impact Analysis (AIAs) of new and existing IT applications and systems. - Maintain on-prem and cloud application compliance scorecard and resolve deficiencies. DR OPS and Testing - Act as the primary resource for *ServiceNow tickets submitted for F5, Firewalls, servers, and storage requests *directed to the team and respond quickly and efficiently. - Work with application teams and infrastructure SMEs/engineers to document, diagnose and resolve issues that arise during the quarterly DR Exercises. - Willing to participate in quarterly and ad hoc IT Disaster Recovery (ITDR) exercises, including tabletops and production traffic failover, with internal application owners and external vendors. - Generate DR Exercise reports with assistance from the app and infra readiness team, summarizing testing activities, results, analysis, and recommendations. - Support response and recovery activities for high-profile technology disruptions, including cyberattacks, natural disasters, man-made disasters, and other crisis scenarios.
