I think you *might* be able to do something under the DMCA -- if you never signed the rights to those apps (copy, distribute, create derivative works...) over to the customer -- or any sort of license to distribute, etc. -- and so you're still the copyright owner on those apps (works).
I'm not a lawyer, and this is only a guess -- so you may want to consult someone who's qualified in these matters.
