Romain, Thank you for your response. I'm sorry I don't understand the answer. I'm not saving the view, the view is re-created from scratch in Fragment.onCreateView() - please see my example attached to the issue. Everything works when the view is created for the first time, but does not work when the exact same code creates exact the same view after the orientation change. What do you mean by disabling instance state & restore? I'm not calling setRetainInstanceState(true).
