If you had a conversation with someone, you should address them by name, not as "Sir/Madam". And you certainly did not have a conversation with everyone on the Android developers' list. > I take this opportunity to present my C.V. for your kind perusal & > consideration. > > Use of abbreviations and symbols like "C.V. [sic]" and the ampersand "&" are very informal and inappropriate for a resume. Also, you want to submit a resume, not a c.v. (correct spelling). C.v.'s are more typical for academia. Resumes are for the real world. Your document title is "Naveen Tamrakar Androd Developer Resume.doc". Who will take you seriously as an Android developer if you cannot even spell the name of the platform correctly? What's with the spammy address list? Spamming resumes, *especially* to newsgroups, is a losing strategy. Your "cover letter" is full of punctuation and grammar errors. It does not say anything to a potential employer except a largely dubious claim that you can If you cannot write a good cover letter, get help from someone who can "come up to expectations". Employers want to hear that you *already* "come up to expectations". Your pitch sells nothing; in fact it will make people toss your resume right in the trash. Sell yourself! Talk about how great you are, not how you think you might maybe possibly be able to do some indeterminate time after someone takes the huge risk of hiring you. Give your pitch some pizzazz, for God's sake. This newsgroup is for discussion of Android application development. Discuss Android development if you post here. I absolutely will not click on some random .doc file linked from the Internet. Too freaking risky. .doc files contain worms and other harmful stuff. Yecch. Really, your whole post was a waste of your time. -- Lew -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
