if what you posted in the original msg is a cut/paste, then the
problem is likely a typo - the ">" right before your
android:configChanges line should be moved to AFTER
<activity android:name=".ReunionPlanner"
android:label="@string/app_name">
android:configChanges="orientation|keyboardHidden"
