My free and paid app do show up at the top of each other's Related
tab. Keyword relevance in title and description could be a big factor,
since the descriptions are similar enough to show up together in most
keyword searches.

No, I don't think they will tell us the criteria for inclusion or the
order. But Google has and will have plenty of data on clickthroughs,
installs, active installs, and keywords searches. They should be able
to include the "people who tried this app also tried" factor in an
Amazon like fashion.

Just below Treking is an app that states 'The Android Market couldn't
find any applications related to this one.' Wow, how do I get my
Related tab to say that?
