That sums it Robert. Thanks a lot. So on Snapdragon / PowerVR SGX 5xx, OpenGL ES 2.0 should work at least through NDK (assuming SDK > 2.0). Anyway if anybody has a list of these with extensions available on each (other than the stackoverflow link I posted,) it would be very useful.
