Hi,
Today I read a harsh discussion on #amarok.devel. I'm not going to talk
about it, but about an idea I get. Please tell me whether you agree on
it, or not.
I think we should port it first as a minimal version that...play music.
We know then that the core works and then port the other parts.
It makes sense to me for 2 reason:
1) we can focus on one unique plugin and port it thoroughly, not just by
translating (which is really bad in term of code maintainability)
2) We can spot the plugins/code parts that doesn't seem relevant *and
open a discussion* about it: is it still relevant?
For splitting the job, and having a full port (and maybe maintainers?)
it would be, IMO, a real gain.
