Thanks Chris. For anyone else having a similar problem, adding myself to the audio group, like so, fixed the problem: $ sudo usermod -a -G audio kip -- Kip Warner -- Senior Software Engineer OpenPGP signed/encrypted mail preferred https://www.thevertigo.com
