I've been beating my head against the wall the last few days trying to get this working but it seems it is above my pay grade. Using the patches from the alsa-devel list I have sucessfully built the modules for my soundcard. The card is detected however I still get no sound. Looking through the mailing list I found the amixer settings and applied them but I have no external speaker switch.
