By chance i recently got hands on a new, different USB-2.0 Hub. After a while i realized i could just test my DAC again, using this... Well, long story short, my wooden housing now not only houses a DAC, but also a USB-Hub. For some reason, it works with this hub, but not with any of my other hubs. This hub is marked: idVendor 0x05e3 Genesys Logic, Inc. idProduct 0x0608 USB-2.0 4-Port HUB in `lsusb`. Thanks for your help -- finally one of your first tips led me to ... well, at least workaround this problem. Thanks!
