This used to work some time ago, it's been dead in both openSUSE and Kubuntu probably from 1.0.23. What pavucontrol is showing:- Both Input and Output Devices display Front Left and Front Right which cannot be right. Card is Soundblaster Live 24-bit External SB0490.
