Hi I am strugging to learn alsa configuration, mostly doing copy-and-paste examples from the internet. I have been searching the web for an example of how to get sourround sound from my toslink input, but nobody seems interested in the subject. All I find is how to send surround through digital output. I realise that an a52 filter should be used, but I cannot figure out how to configure it.
Is there anyone out there who knows how to do this? I would be very happy for a config file. Or even better, an example on the wiki. I have a Razer Barracuda AC-1, used in an OpenSuse 11.1 64 bit system.
