Thanks for the responses. I have tried uninstalling pulseaudio and all all of the mixer tracks are set to maximum and I have no change in the sound output levels (the pcm front and center tracks do make it quieter, but nothing makes it louder than ~50%). Are there any other methods of testing/hacking the output of the card? Has anyone else reported problems like this before? Is it possible that something is disconnected physically (a cable or something)?
