Hello
I have SB Live 5.1 card connected to Cambridge Soundworks DTT3500 using
original digital cable (jack to mini-DIN).
My problem is that i cannot configure alsa to use rear speakers - but ONLY when
i'm using SPDIF TTL input
(this input is matched as CD_SPDIF - you can see it here:
http://manio.skyboo.net/vdr/sblive_ttl_spdif.jpg).
I want to point that my speakers are connected properly and are working
correctly - all is fine and
correct when i test it using:
speaker-test -Dsurround -c6 -twav -l1
I can control these speakers via alsamixer using: 'Wave', 'Wave Center', 'Wave
LFE' and 'Wave Surround'- and all is ok.
The only problem is that sound from my DVB card (i have connected it to the
SPDIF TTL mentioned above) is routed
only to front two speakers (like in stereo, which in fact the signal is). I
want to have the same sound
"copied" to rear speakers, LFE and center (like when i play music) - i know
this is possible because i've tested
it on Windows a long time ago on original driver (in win driver sound from
CD_SPDIF is played in front and rear by
default in 5.1 multispeaker mode).
I can control this SPDIF input volume via: IEC958 Playback Default - but it
only affect to front left and right.
I've spent some hours on reading documentation, i also tryed to configure the
/etc/asound.conf with no luck :(
please tell me how to do it...

ps. additional info:
# cat /proc/asound/cards
 0 [Live ]: EMU10K1 - SB Live 5.1
                      SB Live 5.1 (rev.7, serial:0x80641102) at 0xee80, irq 19

regards,
manio
