I have confirmed a bug that I see on my Dell XPS M1530. The bug is at

The power is _way_ lower in Ubuntu than in Vista. I have spoken to helpers
at #alsa to fix it, and we have tried different model options in alsa-base,
but nothing helped. Anyone got an idea what could cause this problem? It's
annoying me so much that I want to get to the bottom of it :-)
