It's not so much that it definitely will fix the problem, but, as with
all software, if there is a newer version available that *may* have a
problem fixed there isn't much point in reporting a problem in an older
version - the latest version will be the baseline for any fixes that
might need to be made and if the problem still exists in the newer
version then the diagnostic information obtained from that version will
be more valuable to help fix it.
