Could you please help me to configure my cmipci driver for 5.1 surround
output?
I have 6 channel CMI8738 based card. lspci output: "0000:00:0a.0 Multimedia
audio controller: C-Media Electronics Inc CM8738 (rev 10)", kernel version
2.4.34, alsa version 1.0.15
Alsa compiles well, but installs only 2-channels driver.
cat /proc/asound/cards
0 [CMI8738 ]: CMI8738 - C-Media CMI8738
C-Media CMI8738 (model 37) at 0xe000, irq 10
I read it should be CMI8738-MC6, not CMI8738! How to get MC6 driver
installed?
I've already tried everithing from http://alsa.opensrc.org/Cmipci but no
luck.
