I have an intel motherboard (WHMKR) with 82801H (ICH8) audio device and SigmaTel STAC9271D codec. I can play to line out, and record from line in. What I don't seem to be able to do is get whatever is input on the line-in to be output to line-out without CPU work. The only way to hear is by using
arecord | aplay In all cards I previously used, it was possible to get the card to do it by itself. Is the 82801 (or the STAC9271) capable of this? If so, how to configure it? TIA, -- Matan Ziv-Av.
