Hi I have a on-board HDA NVidia sound which ALSA reports as Realtek ALC883 and loads the snd_hda_intel module. Everything seems to be OK but alsamixer doesn't show PCM and there is nothing coming out of the speekers when I produce sounds like playing a mp3 file.
I'm using Gentoo with kernel 2.6.19 on a x86_64 (AMD Athlon). Has anyone any idea what am I or my kernel missing? Thanks for your time.
