Hi All,
Finally after some feedback from the alsa-devel (and Tobin - a very helpful
guys from Conexant ) list was able to get sound working on
my HP DV2000t laptop, have detailed the instructions here

should work with HP DV1000/2000/3000 with Conexant CXT5047 and HP DV6000
series with Conexant CXT5045
Hope this saves many folks from pulling their haors out trying to get sound
working.

When you compile ALSA from source you must remove all snd-* modules
using rmmod before loading the new ones.
Or just reboot.
