Dear all,
i am writing to try to get help using Novation Speedio USB card
(1235:0002) in linux.
Other related posts have complained about garbled playback and
recording, while the midi side has been reported to work fine. The
original words read:

I instead found that only playback is garbled. Recording works just fine
for me. What's your opinion about this? don't you find the fact that
there is a difference in the two audio streams, a little bit strange?
I tried many kernel/alsa-driver combinations, including the live Musix
cd, with the same results.
Moreover, I found a web site stating that Novation Speedio is fully
supported under alsa-1.0.9. I want to make clear that i'm not blaming
any of the alsa devolopers nor the person who posted that information.
On the contrary, I think that support of this hardware may have gone
lost in some updates (may be the kernel?).
I asked for happy linux users of the Speedio card but nobody answered.
This also may mean that the hardware itself is not very popular, at
least among linux users.
At any rate, I think it's a real pity that this card works both in midi
and recording, while playback is garbled. I have the (very naive)
feeling that a simple fix (quirk?) can provide full support under linux
for this hardware. Please, correct me if I am wrong. Therefore, any help
on how to get this done is really appreciated. I can provide audio
samples coming out of the card, if necessary.
