I have been trying for quite some time to get my DELL (bah!!)
Soundblaster Live card to work. I have no idea what I am doing wrong.
As far as I can tell from looking at the config and just about
everything else I've found to look at, the sounds is working.
The problem, of course, is that absolutely no sound is coming out of
the speakers. I've upped the volume in alsamixer. I've run alsaconf.
I've downloaded the 1.0.12rc3 alsa tars and installed those. (not in
that order) As far as I've seen there have been no obvious errors
while I did any of that. And yet there is still no sound.
I have absolutely no idea where to turn next. Can anyone provide me
with any pointers? I've attached the output of aadebug.
Thank you for anything you can suggest. I really have no idea what to
try next.
