Martin,

I purchased a turtle beach audio advantage micro for £30 to use for
spdif output with a shuttle system (the onboard spdif didnt work very
well), it works very well, for the price it is a excellent little
device.

It does not have microphone input, just a single 3.5m jack which does
analogue or toslink/spdif, it comes with a adapter to convert the jack
style toslink/spdif to the normal socket style.
