Hi I'm looking to get the ideal sound card to suit my need.
I do home automation, and like to have a single card from which I could have 2 separate stereo output. I'd like to be able to run 1 XMMS instance on each of them, or also have the possibility to run a single instance of XMMS on both simultaneously. Also, I need to be able to run the command aplay on each output, or both. I have a hard time with my Soundblaster card, using the front and back output. So, I'm looking at something with 2 distinct and manageable output. I consider having 2 cards, but again, I struggle to get my asoundrc working properly when I output a single source to both.
