Hi Andi,

Yes, when the card does not work, the module snd-ice1712 is loaded,
and can be unloaded and reloaded. In fact it is loaded automatically
during the boot. You know, there are all the snd modules (ice1712,
pcm, etc...)

I don't find any *alsa* or *snd* file or directory under /var/log ,
and I've been searching for some through all the file system, but I've
found none. I supposed it should be there, that's why I asked for
advice. I'm waiting for a succesful boot to see if the alsa log is
there only when the card works

Using the 1.0.12rc? that was on the web (by now off-line) makes no
difference between 1.0.11, by the way.
