Hello everyone,

I have a machine that I am running Fedora Core 4 on with MythTV.  The sound works fine while watching TV with Myth (except the volume won't adjust), however, I'm using Xine (with ALSA) instead of mplayer to watch DVD's, etc. and the output switches on any source that is better than stereo ( e.g. 5.1 surround sound movies output front speaker sound through the line-in port on my sound card and rear speaker sound through my speaker output).  So, right now the only way to fix this is to manually switch the speaker inputs in the back of the computer when I go to watch a DVD.  My mother board says this is a C-Media chipset but the drivers MSI provides only work with RedHat 7.1 or something.  Has anyone else experienced this problem and have any suggestions?

Thanks,

Brett
