Hello, I'm soon to be needing a sound card for recording (24/7) with optical SPDIF. I already have one doing the job, an Audigy2 Platinum, which I could get another one, but I'm looking to see if there's a cheaper alternative, maybe even something that doesn't require a 5 1/4 slot, that would accomplish the same thing. PCI and ALSA/reliability are a must.
