Hello all, I own I M-Audio Ozone keyboard, for which I got the midi-keyboard part to work. However, the device has a microphone input which does not appear. Neither there is a capture device in alsamixergui nor does something show up in the Jack Audio Connection Kit (mic from the internal laptop soundcard is there).
Some info about my debian linux system uname -a: Linux miranda 2.6.16.19-vanilla #1 PREEMPT Sat Jun 3 20:54:25 CEST 2006 i686 GNU/Linux cat /proc/asound/version Advanced Linux Sound Architecture Driver Version 1.0.11rc2 (Wed Jan 04 08:57:202006 UTC). my /proc/asound/devices reads: 0: [ 0] : control 1: : sequencer 16: [ 0- 0]: digital audio playback 24: [ 0- 0]: digital audio capture 25: [ 0- 1]: digital audio capture 32: [ 1] : control 33: : timer 48: [ 1- 0]: digital audio playback 56: [ 1- 0]: digital audio capture 64: [ 2] : control 72: [ 2- 0]: raw midi 80: [ 2- 0]: digital audio playback 88: [ 2- 0]: digital audio capture ls -1 /proc/asound/ card0 card1 card2 cards devices hwdep I82801CAICH3 Modem oss Ozone pcm seq timers version cat /proc/asound/cards 0 [I82801CAICH3 ]: ICH - Intel 82801CA-ICH3 Intel 82801CA-ICH3 with AD1881A at 0x1c00, irq 11 1 [Modem ]: ICH-MODEM - Intel 82801CA-ICH3 Modem Intel 82801CA-ICH3 Modem at 0x2400, irq 11 2 [Ozone ]: USB-Audio - Ozone M-Audio Ozone at usb-0000:00:1d.1-2, full speed I have no .asoundrc file. It seems, that the hardware is detect to some extent. But I have no idea what is missing to make the microphone of the Ozone appear and usable. I also would be happy if I could get playback over this device to work. Probably, it's simple or even off topic for the list, but any help and/or hint is really appreaciated. Best wishes, Markus _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list Alsa-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user
