I write aplay -l. The modem is correctly identified as card: 0, device :6, ATI HDA SB, SiS 3054.
I launch slmodemd, I use the command: slmodemd --alsa hw:0,6 --country=UK SLOMDEMD identifies the modem, and creates tty/SL0. I then create a connection in kppp. Everything works fine, but: I have tried with both HW and SW control. I always get answer NO CARRIER or NO DIALTONE. The volume of the modem is clearly down, because when I try to connect, no noise whatsoever is generated. Sorry for late replay. Help!
