Greetings; New HP dv5320us laptop, i386 version of FC5 installed, all uptodate. Usng kde as the desktop. None of the cd player apps can make sound even though they can find the tracks, and go through the motions of playing then in their various gui's. The audio, with a set of skype phones plugged in, is alive, making curcuit noises the various gain sliders can control, and ALL the noises KDE can make work just fine at volume levels somewhat surprising for a lappy with builtin speakers.
The asla installed is 1.0.11rc2, and alsamixer says its an ATI IXP, conexant id 30 chipset. Is there any hope for this? -- Cheers, Gene People having trouble with vz bouncing email to me should add the word 'online' between the 'verizon', and the dot which bypasses vz's stupid bounce rules.
