ALSA newer than 1.0.9 enables software mixing (=sharing) by default, so you
don't need to configure anything. RealPlayer however uses OSS. To get it to
play along, try aoss realplay.
Thanks for the info. aoss realplater worked fine. But I remember enablein oss support (--with-oss=yes) when compiling alsa-driver. Will it not take care of OSS applications.
