I know that there are lot people having same kind of problem. I have
searched over the net for solution but in vain. Finally, I decided the
ask this list. I have Intel Corp. 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family sound card. I have installed alsa
1.0.10 and alsaconf
can recognize the card..but no sound.
I am getting following error message while alsaconf is running :
Shutting down sound driver: /usr/sbin/alsactl: get_control:149: Cannot read
control info '2,0,0,Front Playback Volume,0': Invalid argument
done
alsmixer gives following error :
alsamixer: function snd_mixer_load failed: Invalid argument
Any idea what is happening?
