Wow thanks.  At first it still wasn't working, then started fiddling
with the mixer and i guess some how after wiggling all relevant input
knobs it started working. I didn't really change any of the settings,
just wiggled the knobs.  now i have stereo input in jack, just like i
always wanted. thanks all.
