I own a Asus P4R800-V Deluxe motherboard which has an on board ATI IXP
sound card. I used to have this sound card disabled because I have also
a Terratec EWS88 MT/D 10in 10out card. I bought myself a cheap
gameport/mpu midi in and out cable and I now want to use the mpu on the
ATI IXP sound card as a second midi port.
When I compile the latest atiixp alsa-driver (1.0.11rc2) and configure
it through alsaconf, no midi devices show up at "amidi -l". In fact I
get this error: "cannot determine device number: Inappropriate ioctl for
device"
How can I enable the mpu on this card? Or isn't this supported on this card?
