RockHead karlos # aplay --device=hw:1,0 /mnt/data/sounds/Output\ 1-2.wav Playing WAVE '/mnt/data/sounds/Output 1-2.wav' : Signed 16 bit Little Endian, Rate 44100 Hz, Stereo aplay: set_params:954: Unable to install hw params: ACCESS: RW_INTERLEAVED FORMAT: S16_LE SUBFORMAT: STD SAMPLE_BITS: 16 FRAME_BITS: 32 CHANNELS: 2 RATE: 44100 PERIOD_TIME: (125011 125012) PERIOD_SIZE: 5513 PERIOD_BYTES: 22052 PERIODS: (3 4) BUFFER_TIME: 500000 BUFFER_SIZE: 22050 BUFFER_BYTES: 88200 TICK_TIME: 1000 now I wonder how I can turn it on. Anybody an idea? When trying to cat urandom to /dev/dsp1 I get this: RockHead karlos # cat /dev/urandom > /dev/dsp1 cat: write error: Broken pipe I had it once running (it was much more to do with luck that time though) but even that time, the sound was all distorted (maybe an Endianess thing?) so a there might be little .asoundrc tweaking necessary? Please help. Thanks, Karsten ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Splunk Inc. Do you grep through log files for problems? Stop!
