Hello,
I didn't install nvsound this time(after modify /etc/modprobe.conf), but
now there is still no sound when I play soundcard detection AND
ksoundcreator. looks like my PC can't correctly detect my integrated
sound chip?
my motherboard is 939NF4G-SATA2 which AUDIO is "Realtek ALC850 7.1
channel AC'97 audio codec", what does this related to NVIDIA? is it
because "Chipset SouthBridge: nVidia nForce 410 MCP"
Should I modify /etc/modprobe.conf?
Thank you very much!

Hello:
I installed FC4-x86_64 on my machine which is Athlon64 3000+, initially
the system-config-soundcard can not play sound out.
but after I "yum update"(livna repo), now it upgrade to
system-config-soundcard-1.2.12-2, when I try to play sound detection
program, it will not run as following:
This won't work because nvsound is an OSS module but FC4 uses ALSA.
Remove the proprietary nvsound driver and the installer should detect
your card normally (the driver will either be snd-intel8x0 or
snd-hda-intel).
