Hi. I'm using the alsa drivers that came with
Mandrake 10.0 Official. I've tried a SoundBlaster
Live and a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum on it.
The latter purportedly has true full duplex, but both
suffer exactly the same problem.
They won't multitrack. The first track sounds great,
but recording the second and all subsequent tracks
returns something that sounds like a demon (very low
voice) speaking through a fan (all chopped up). I've
tried every configuration possible in KDE Control
Center, and I've tried every configuration I can think
of in KMix, to no avail.
This doesn't *feel* like a complicated problem, but I
can't find mention of it in any of the FAQs.
