Hmm as I mentioned before, exactly the same problem I have, but with
another soundcard - an ESS1968 Maestro 2 also built into a laptop
(Toshiba Satellite 4090XCDT)(After 10 minutes the sound gets ugly scratched,
blimped....)

But there is a link between our problems: the
AC97codec. Also my card uses this I bevlieve. Could there be some
problem with this?
