Actually, the driver routes all data to hw:0,0 (which is the default device anyway). hw:0,2 and 3 won't work at all. > Mic is only very very quiet (if it works) and LineIn is not working. > In alsamixer everything is set to max and unmuted. I think the driver assumes that the codec is the second codec for additional surround channels or something like that, and accesses the wrong mixer registers. What are the contents of /proc/asound/card0/codec97#0/ac97#0-0+regs? And what mainboard is this?
