I've installed a debian unstable on my pc (mb asus a7v8x with a integrated sound card with chipset ac97) and i would like to use a microphone. This integrated sound card have 3 jack that, by default, are set to line-out. I've seen that from windows is possible to do a switch (by software) from line-out to line-in, and in this mode, is possible to use the microphone. On my linux-debian i've installed the alsa driver (version 1.0.1) but, also like windows, by default, the 3 jack are set to line-out. How can i set the 3th jack for use the microphone?
Thanks for all info, and excuse me for my imperfect English. //Mad ______________________________________________________________________ Yahoo!
