hi all, just got the audiophile 2496, which seems to be a right nice card. i have it playing out and recording, but not at the same time. in envy24control i set both of the "H/W Out" channels to either "PCM Out" or "H/W In". switching between these settings, and the associated asoundrcs, is the only way i have found to use both input & output.
the card describes itself as full-duplex though, and i can see both signals in the envy24control monitor. (i don't know why there are 10 "PCM Out"s, 8 "H/W In"s, and 2 "S/PDIF In"s labeled L/R - this means the rest were stereo?.) how can i take advantage of it, recording and playing back at the same time? any advice on this card's usage would be appreciated. i have read what i found in the mail archives and seen a lot of asoundrcs. i think i have the basic setup complete because i can play to and record from it using plughw:2,0. full-duplexing and understanding the arrangement of channels is my main concern right now. thanks, aaron brick. - | | | | | | | | | | - - - - - - aaron brick - - [EMAIL PROTECTED] - - - - - - | | | | | | | | | | - ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net is sponsored by: Speed Start Your Linux Apps Now.
