Arts supports ALSA output - although it doesn't seem that it is possible to specify any alternative device, it just sends to default. It works nicely when default is just plug:spdif but when default is dmix which uses spdif for output it croaks. I know that sound will be mixed twice, but that only goes for programs that can only use arts (such as noatun and juk). All programs that support ALSA I will setup to use ALSA instead of Arts. Programs such as mplayer. -- Anders -----BEGIN GEEK CODE BLOCK----- Version: 3.12 GCS/O d--@ s:+ a-- C++ UL+++$ P++ L+++ E- W+ N(+) o K? w O-- M- V PS+ PE@ Y+ PGP+ t 5 X R+ tv+ b++ DI+++ D+ G e- h !r y? ------END GEEK CODE BLOCK------ PGPKey: http://pgp.mit.edu:11371/pks/lookup?op=get&search=0x8BFECB41 ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net is sponsored by: Speed Start Your Linux Apps Now.
