    Yes, I ran ./snddevices, and when I run alsaconf, it does recognize my 
card,
    but when it says it is getting ready to play sound, it get this line at 
the
    end:

    Starting sound driver: snd-au8830 done
    /usr/sbin/alsactl: load_state:1134: No soundcards found...
