Hi all!

I bought an Terratec Aureon Sky 5.1 a few days ago but couldn't get it
working until now :-(
Even though it looks like everything should work fine - no applications work in any
way!

My configuration is:
Debian Linux with self compiled 2.4.24 kernel
Alsa-source from CVS (1.0.2c)

compiling and loading the modules works fine:
snd-ice1724 25860 1

also the /proc-filesystem is fine:

can anybody give me some help what's wrong, please?
(for me it seems like there's something wrong/missing between the driver and
the /dev-filesystem... rumours...)

thanx!
klaus

P.S.: i also tried the alsa debian-packages (with alsa 0.9.x) first - it also didn't
work
even though when trying to play back an audiofile you could hear the sound very very
very
silent (low) - just like if averything was muted and the sound u can hear is ony
crosstalk.
