Hi all,
I have recently updated the kernel (2.4.21-166) and reinstalled Alsa, (libs drivers and utils) I have the Via onboard 8235 and this version, 1.0.2, is way better, no pops and clicks and Quake3 is fine . I can even use XQF's "Stop XMMS song before playing" feature, nice.
So, when I am looking at whats installed and whats not with Synaptic (GUI front end for apt-get) it informs me that i have Alsa version 9.8.x installed and that version 1.0.2 is available. Just wondered if anyone has a clue as to what's gone wrong especially as it sounds so good this time round! -cheers
