Hi, I have an ECS L7VTA2 motherboard with integrated sound and I can't use it with ALSA properly. First of all, in the mixer, the PCM is only a switch, so it can be only on or off; the master can be changed but it does not have any effect. I read the documentations but I have not found the solution. I have the same problem in XMMS as some guys who wrote before me (sound distortion after x seconds). I tried the ARTS, too, but the results were worse. When I play mp3s with mplayer (I know it's a video player, but it can play mp3s, too), I don't have sound distortions. The most annoying thing is that the volume can't be adjusted. Any suggestions? Thanks
