xcdroast is a GTK program that make some SUID work in the proper
way (which is the way intended by GTK guys). I think that running
a GTK application as SUID root is really a security risk,
but may be you prefer the Windoze philosophy about security :-)

ok, but my question is : why ?

About the sfxload :
I've understood that until now sfxload only works with OSS emulation.
I'm also happy to know that Mr. Takashi Iwai is working to a native
sfxload.
